Playing on a board
A physical board gives you direct feedback from the striker and playing surface. You will need space, the equipment and someone to play with, unless you are practising alone.
Playing on a phone
A mobile game can be convenient for short sessions. The physics, rules and controls depend on the app, so a familiar-looking board may still play differently.
Choose for your situation
For a family evening, a board may suit everyone around the table. For a short practice session, a mobile version may be convenient. Neither format requires you to rush your learning.
Check the rules
Agree on house rules for a physical game and read the mode instructions for an app. This avoids confusion when switching between formats.
